Cassiano Viana says he joined Infor because family members and family friends were always talking about what a great organization Infor is.
“When I was presented with the prospect of becoming a part of this [Infor] family, I did my best to grasp it. I saw a career opportunity in which I could help people and organizations achieve their full potential.”
Now as an associate solution consultant, he is daily deep into helping Infor customers maximize their business potential. That mindset also fits right in with Cassiano’s other vocation—serving his country as a second lieutenant in the Georgia Army National Guard.
Balancing a career, supporting a family, and fulfilling service requirements can pull a person in multiple directions. “It’s no small feat,” he admits, “however, it has become second nature to me. I am incredibly thankful for the support I receive from my wife and family and have experienced the fullest support from every single person I have met at Infor since day one.”
His National Guard duties can require being called away from home and work for days, weeks, months, or even a year. Regardless of the length of the mission, Cassiano says Infor has remained flexible and continuously provides support.
Reservists and members of the National Guard know that military experience is not always valued the same as experience in the private sector, he says. But Infor and its parent company, Koch Industries, take a different view. “They see the value and true potential that we, as members of the military, bring to an organization.”
Infor actively recruits military veterans, and Reservists and Guard members. To support this effort, Cassiano recently recorded a video sharing his motivation for joining Infor and why an employer’s support is so important to those who serve.
